Eat, Love, Pray

I have a tendency to stay away from some trends just because I don't like the fact that "everyone" is doing it. But, I have a goal to increase my book reading by one more book a month (4 books a month) and picked out Eat, Love, Pray from my roommates book shelf and LOVED it! What I loved most is the rawness of Elizabeths internal dialog and methods of coping. I can now see why everyone likes this book too, and I feel comfortable jumping on this bandwagon.

Reality "loves"...

These reality shows are a guilty pleasure of mine..."love" them!

Elase...

I'm kind of sad I'm leaving Utah because I have gotten the cheapest hair removal I will ever get at Elase Medical Spa. They have a cheap monthly plan and I now have no underarm hair and in places we won't mention. I also have taken an opportunity of the cheap services at Elase Academy. I got CO2 Fraxel, Skin lightening and a derma sound facial done there. Thousands and thousands of dollars worth of stuff for only a few hundred. I may have to fly back for these prices.

Blokus

I LOVE this game. I was first introduced to it by a group of friends I hung out with in Seattle and Highly recommend it. Great for working your brain!

Doctor of the Soul...

I'm reading "The Doctor And The Soul" by Viktor Frankl (of course) and came across a quote I LOVE!

"If we take people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat them as if they were what they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming" -Aphorism of Goethe

Regarding a suicidal patient..."In a surprising short time this doctor succeeded in explaining to man that human freedom is not a "freedom from" but a "freedom to"-a freedom to accept responsibility."

Jumbo sweater shaver...

I hate sweater piling on my sweaters, t-shirts and even my socks. The best solution I have found is the sweater shaver. I am a fan of gadgets and this one is fun to use and only $16.99 at Target. A definite LOVE.

Munro Leaf...

When I was working as a Nanny in New York I search every where to find books on manners and etiquette. I wanted to explain the "why's" of why it's important to use manners. Munro Leaf has written a series of books, but I am not a huge fan of the illustrations. So, as much as I love these books and the lessons they teach I think I might want to write my own series someday.
